Pumpkin Pie Protein Smoothie

Oh yeah baby! It's that time of year again :) The weather begins to cool off at night and the leaves change colors as they fall breezily to the ground. Break out your light sweaters and enjoy everything about this beautiful time of year. It really is one of my favorites.

 

If you're a big fan of pumpkin spice like me this time of year can be a HUGE challenge with all the calorie filled, nutrition-less goodies that are everywhere you look! So I created this amazing pumpkin pie protein smoothie that is the perfect snack before or after a workout, it is full of protein, and tastes awesome. Just what you need to satisfy that craving and still feel great about your food choices and staying on track :)

Pumpkin Pie Protein Smoothie

  • 1/2 Cup Pumpkin Puree (not pumpkin pie mix)

  • 3/4 Cup Fat Free Greek Yogurt

  • 1 Tsp. Pumpkin Pie Spice

  • 1/4 cup Almond milk

  • 1 Medium Banana

  • 1 Tbs Agave Nectar (or honey, more or less to taste)

It has 300 Calories, 0 Fat, 60gm of Carbs and 20gm of protein

 

Throw it all in the blender with a handful of ice cubes and voila! You've got a BOMB smoothie that will fill you up and satisfy that Fall sweet tooth. Add a scoop of vanilla protein powder to make it even better for a post workout snack. You're welcome:)
